Church at the Cafe
Today was a nice and relaxing day. I got to sleep in because church wasn't until 5:00. When I woke up, I ate breakfast and then began reading Mere Christianity. So far it is pretty good and C.S. Lewis makes many good points.
At five o'clock we started church which meets in the cafe and it is all in Spanish. It was funny because people were walking by thinking that the cafe was opened. Right now the church is opened for anyone who wants to come, but if someone hasn't been invited, they wouldn't know that we were meeting. It is a little awkward right now because people walking by think that the cafe might be opened because people are inside, but the people aren't inside the cafe for a normal cafe visit. They are working on getting a sign put out so that it is a little more obvious what is going on. We began with a time of fellowship and had ice cream and coffee. The ice cream was delicious. Then we began. For this month we are going through the Psalms and picking out something that sticks out to us and then we are going to share it next week. We closed with prayer.
For dinner tonight we had Fondo. This was my first time and it was pretty good. It took a while to eat dinner though, but it was fun. After dinner we watched some more of West Wing. It doesn't seem like I got much done today, but it was definitely a day of rest.
Tomorrow I will be working at the cafe, watching Abigail and Isabel, going to the art club at the cafe, and possibly going to the GBU bible study.
